Delivering Fire Prevention

What is “Delivering Fire Prevention”?
A statewide program of Safe Kids Wisconsin Coalition designed to increase awareness about the necessity of having working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in every home, while reminding homeowners to change the batteries in their smoke detectors twice a year.

How does the program work?
Families ordering from a participating pizza restaurant are chosen at random to have their pizza delivered by a fire truck. If they have working smoke detectors in their home, their pizza is free, compliments of the pizza restaurant. They also are eligible for a carbon monoxide detector if none is present. If the family does not have a working smoke alarm they receive a free smoke detector and fire prevention education from Safe Kids Wisconsin.

Delivering Fire Prevention is brought to families across the state by Safe Kids Wisconsin, local firefighters and pizza restaurants, and State Farm® Insurance.
