Fires, suffocation and drowning are the leading causes of unintentional home injury death among children ages 14 and under. Childproofing and supervision are two simple ways to keep kids safe at home. Get down on your hands and knees and see what things might be tempting. Understand that childproofing is not 100% effective and should not replace good supervision.
