Safe Kids Wausau Area

The Safe Kids Wausau Area coalition was formed in December 1999 and is led by Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

The coalition focuses on:

  • Child passenger safety
    • Car seat checks - first and third Wednesday of the month.
    • Child passenger safety class once a year.
    • Child passenger safety updates twice a year.
  • Water safety
    • Splash into Safety.
  • Fire safety
    • Delivering Fire Prevention.
  • Bicycle safety
    • Bike helmet sales in schools.
    • Participate in local bike rodeos.
  • Ski/snow board safety
    • Sales of ski/snow board helmets.
  • Girl Scout Safety Wise Patch Program.
